  • The item upgrade system lets players directly upgrade items to the next grade.
  • The process requires the Awaken Stone, which is categorized into weapon/armor/shield/accessory.
  • Any 11th grade item at +7 reinforcement can be upgraded using the Awaken Stone. Since 11 is the highest degree at 110 cap, this is the official gateway to the higher grades.
  • Upon an unsuccessful attempt only the Awaken Stone is destroyed — the item is not.
  1. Open the Alchemy window and click the 'Upgrade' tab on the left (via [A] or [Y]).
  2. Place the item to be upgraded and the Awaken Stone appropriate to it. Awaken Stones are obtained through hunting.
  3. Click 'Upgrade' to begin the process. Upon success the item's grade gains +1.

Official restrictions and details

  • Only 11th grade Seal of Comet items with a reinforcement level of +7 or higher can be upgraded.
  • Upgrading is not available while an 'Option Level Enhancement Scroll' is in effect.
  • Success or failure is determined at a rate. When a special Awaken Stone is used, the upgrade has a 100% rate of success.
  • Only socket stones are carried over to the upgraded item; the physical and magic properties are not.
